128x128 Packs aren't working for me.

I am playing on MC 1.8 and I've downloaded both the Basic Sphax 128x128 pack and the Christmas 128x128 (since that the only resolution you have of the Xmas pack) and they haven't worked for me. They show up in my resource pack list just fine in-game, but once I try to activate it, the game goes to the default pack while it says it's on the 128x128 pack. I do not use MCPatcher or Optifine nor do I use any mods, so I don't know what to do. I hope you can help me.

You either need to assign more RAM to Minecraft or use lower resolution textures.

Sphax will be releasing a 64x for XmasBDcraft 2014 "soon".
