I have an issue where the side textures of grass blocks keep the standard color no matter which biome I'm in, so they don't match the top. It only happens after I run MCPatcher, and not with the default textures. Also, just using Forge and a few mods with PureBDcraft works without problems.

Versions:
Minecraft 1.7.10

Forge-1.7.10-10.13.0.1180
BetterFoliage-0.9.9b
Carpenter's Blocks v3.2.6 - MC 1.7.10
Chisel-1.7.10-1.5.6a
CodeChickenCore-1.7.10-1.0.2.9-universal
ElectricalAge_BETA-1.8_r35
mod_voxelMap_1.2.1_for_1.7.10
NotEnoughItems-1.7.10-1.0.2.15-universal
Waila-1.5.2a_1.7.2

Sphax_PureBDcraft_MC_1_7_64x

And MCPatcher-4.3.2_03 is what's ruining my life... Does anyone recognize this problem, and maybe even know how to fix it?

I can't replicate the issue with that version of Forge and MCPatcher...

I'd be surprised if any of the mods are causing issues. It's more likely something's gone wrong during patching.

Try starting from a fresh 1.7.10.jar

Yea, so I just deleted and reinstalled Minecraft completely, generating a new world on 1.7.10. Checked it out with the vanilla textures for reference and everything looked fine. Then I added the PureBDcraft pack and everything still looked fine.

Then I ran MCpatcher with all options checked, and did not add Forge or anything else. Started the game again with vanilla for reference and everything was fine, but Sphax immediately had the same problem.

Then I installed the DokuCraft x64 pack just to try it and it works perfectly! I've looked through the textures in both packs and I can't see any difference in how the textures are made. What can I do?

Well, like I said, I can't replicate the issue.

What settings are you using in MCPatcher (screenshot if possible)? Have you redownloaded the texturepack to make sure it's correct?

Can you post a screenshot of the issue?

I get that it's difficult figuring it out when you can't reproduce the problem, and I certainly do appreciate you trying anyway. Downloaded the pack again and reinstalled, but no luck.

Here are the screens:

Can you patch again, leaving MCPatcher with its default settings, and copy/paste the entire contents of the Log, Class Map and Summary tabs?

Remember to use spoilers. I'll do a difference check against mine and see if it's just not doing the same thing.

Sorry for the delay, but here we go! There were way too many characters for posting here so I made these links.

Just noticed that when I do the "Test Minecraft" thing in MCPatcher and check the log, it ends with this:
Show
Exception in thread "main" joptsimple.MissingRequiredOptionException: Missing required option(s) ['accessToken']
at joptsimple.OptionParser.ensureRequiredOptions(OptionParser.java:447)
at joptsimple.OptionParser.parse(OptionParser.java:437)
at net.minecraft.client.main.Main.main(SourceFile:83)
Minecraft exited with status 1

Not sure if it even means anything.

I'm gonna look stupid if this works after saying everything is fine, but what happens if you delete:
\assets\minecraft\mcpatcher\ctm\misc\grass_side.properties

That, indeed, did the trick. Now the grass sides are colored correctly, but without the ctm randomness of course.

So MCPatcher does not render the grass side overlay when there are ctm textures? Does this work for everyone else? Had a look at DokuCraft again, and it actually doesn't have any ctm textures for grass. Might this be the reason?

I don't think MCPatcher is clever enough to realize it's still meant to have a grass overlay it just uses the CTM texture and that's it.

The pack for MC1.8 doesn't really do much grass CTM via MCPatcher anymore. I think Sphax is trying to manipulate the built-in model system instead.
