I'm exploring the resource pack designing and I'm currently excising with the thermal smeltery mod which has a lot of connection and similarities to other resource packs already made.

Some texture are animated and their .png is as expected a column with all the frames and it's .mcmeta with the frame order. If I can't tell how is the animation just looking at the still .png is there a way to visualize it without having to launch minecraft? Does the Animaker software allows such use?

Animaker doesn't work like that.

You'd need to cut the image up and actually make an animation using the "frames" to do it outside of Minecraft... it'd be easier just to use MC though.

Thanks, meanwhile I'm trying to make a Photoshop action which cuts the image each *given* pixel to obtain the frames and then place them in the timeline animation.. Hope it works xD I just didn't understood a thing, are the frames measured in seconds or in game ticks?

frametime = x frames per 20 ticks (or x frames per second).
