Issues With Sphax for 1.8 and Optfine

I recently installed Optfine along with Sphax Pure BDcraft however none of the Sphax textures are connecting. I did try with another texture pack and the textures connect. I am using the latest version of Forge Mod Loader To Load the newest version of Optfine for Minecraft 1.8.

I'm pretty sure Optifine for MC1.8 doesn't support Forge yet, you need to install it as a jar mod as per the instructions in Optifine's thread.

Oh, I didn't see a "compatible with Forge" and neglected to check the old changelogs.

The connected textures work fine in MC1.8 with Forge + Optifine.

Are you sure you've got the latest version of the resourcepack and Connected Textures are enabled in Options > Video Settings > Quality?

I know I have the connected textures on and I will grab the latest version just to make sure.
