Hello,

I've been playing 1.10.2 and using the latest version of PureBDCraft (1.10 R3) when I noticed that the clock in the texturepack doesn't rotate to show the time of day. It's permanently locked in the noon position. I swapped back to the default textures and found that the clocks are working, but when I swap back to PureBDCraft, they're just stuck.

I've tried installing Optifine to see if there was a way to get the clock to work, but the problem persists. Please let me know if there's any additional information I can provide or if I've goofed something up.

Thanks!

Seems to a bug with Forge and custom models. Forge is a bit crap currently...

I'll see if I can find a workaround, but I'm not holding my breath.

No, can't see a fix... here's the issue on the Forge github: https://github.com/MinecraftForge/Minec ... ssues/3264

For the short term you may want to download the 1.9 version of PureBD and copy the clock/compass textures from there. You'll also need to delete the clock & compass folders and clock.json & compass.json from the models/item folder of the 1.10 pack.

It's up to Forge to fix.

HanFox I wish you had not locked the other thread.

I came here looking for answers about the same issue and found I could not ask more questions about the solution that was posted.

I too use Forge, latest version for 1.11 (2188) and latest version of Sphax PureBDCrraft 1.11, and my clock does not spin.

What I have done to fix the issue: (This is a similar explanation of Sai's solution without deleting anything.)

Part A: How to Disable New model code from 1.11
1) Open up the latest 1.11 and go to assets\minecraft\models\item
Rename clock.json to clock.json.bk
3) Go to assets\minecraft\textures\items

Part B: How to Get old texture assests from 1.9
3) Open up 1.9 and go to assets\minecraft\textures\items
Select all the clock*.png files

Part C: How to Copy Old to New
4) Drag/copy all the old 1.9 texture files into the new 1.11 resource pack. They will be in the exact same folder for both - assets\minecraft\textures\items

Notes:
1) You do not need to delete any files - this will make it easier to update when Forge fixes the bug. When it is fixed just change the clock.json.bk back to clock.json. And you might have to remove the clock*.png files you added too.
2) I have a feeling that if the compass is not working correctly, then this process should work for the compass too. Just change clock for compass in the instructions above.

Thank you

The bug is locked because it's not really something we can fix.

Forge has broken some core functionality and have assigned the issue to someone who hasn't made a commit since June.

More people need to prod them and then maybe Lexmanos will care to fix it.

I will, however, link your "fix" in the feedback thread.

This has been fixed in Forge 2206 for MC1.11.2.
