Requesting Help to remove Void/Bedrock fog.

The title is self explanatory! I've been playing Tekkit classic and was wondering if there is a way to remove the void/bedrock fog. It's getting in the way of my Base!. I've googled but the advise tends to be going through and removing files which I don't want to do. Is there a simpler way?

For Tekkit Classic being MC1.2.5 you'd have to do some modification in some way. The easiest way is to use Optifine.
