MC1.10 - The Frostburn Update

Welcome to the feedback thread for the MC1.10 release of PureBDcraft! :)

Get the downloads here. You can see the changelog here.

The team that created this pack is: Sphax, HanFox, EskiMojo14, and MushirMickeyJoe!

If you have any feedback, comments, ideas, or opinions about the latest version of PureBDcraft please post in the thread.

If you find any bugs please post them in the Bug Reports section.

There is a customiser for the pack here.

Issues we already know about:
  • PureBDcraft
  • Health Boost effect icon is missing -- will be fixed soon
  • Water behind glass is the wrong colour -- fixed -- please redownload the pack
  • Mushrooms in plant pots are broken -- fixed -- please redownload the pack
  • The up/down sorting arrows on the server selection appear on the wrong side of the box for 512x/256x/64x/32x/16x -- fixed -- please redownload the pack
  • When glass panes are placed on top of other glass panes in a "step" design there's a hole in the top/bottom of the pane. This is because Mojang hasn't made the panes aware of other panes above/below them. We prefer those gaps over not being able to do nice solid glass pane effect ;)
  • Damage Items
  • Cast rod with no damage uses wrong texture -- fixed -- please redownload the pack

F.Y.I.

I downloaded "PureBDcraft 128x MC110.zip" from your site (Size = 31,518KB) and the pack.mcmeta identifies itself as:-
"description": "by BDcraft.net - version 1.9\n\u00A7c\u00A7nhttps://BDcraft.net"
NOT as 1.10 (so I have edited my personal copy so I don't get confused)

The error in the mcmeta is only present in the 128x pack. Simple oversight which will get fixed soon. Thanks.

I'd like to report a bug. PureBDcraft 1.10 (128x128) in combination with the latest PureBDcraft Addon: More 3D Blocks (13/06/2016) result in a partially textured crafting table.

Thanks. This should be fixed soon.

I definitely like the Husk texture! The mummy design looks great in the desert atmosphere, especially with the pyramids.

However, I'm not a huge fan of the Stray, to me it looks a bit weird and out of place. The body seems odd clipping in with the arms (which I know there's nothing you can do about, but it's less noticeable with clothing IMO), and I think they look more like a Draugr than anything.

I made an account just to share my dumb opinion on that, lol. :-?

The Stray is different in Pure because I think we have way too many similar Mobs in Minecraft by default. With Husk and Stray we just got a new Zombie and a new Skeleton.

With Pure1.10, at least we have 2 entirely new Mobs for a new surprising experience... exactly like the Villagers.
However, if you want something more like Vanilla Mobs, you'll have to use VanillaBDcraft coming soon. ;)

Why did the Nether get overhauled? IMO it was a lot nicer with its old textures, what with the Netherrack resembling blood giving the Nether a hellish theme.

I kinda understand why the Lava was changed due to the Magma Block being added, but it would've been nice to give the Magma Block the old lava texture.

The nether was changed to make it look more like flesh as opposed to blood... because walking around on big lumps of blood doesn't really make sense.

However, if it particularly bothers you there's a link to a Customiser in the first post of this thread ;)

As for the magma block having the old lava texture I could add that to the customiser considering the old lava was meant to look like magma. Good idea ;)

Seems like that could get a little confusing once Biomes O Plenty updates to 1.10 - iirc, it adds a biome to the Nether with blocks that are officially considered as being flesh. Also, a friend of mine once commented that the old Sphax texture for Netherrack (the warping bubbles animation) looked like a lava lamp. I guess the flowing bubbles animation looks reasonably similar to blood, though.
