MC1.11 - The Vincent Price Exploration Update

Welcome to the feedback thread for the MC1.11 release of PureBDcraft! :)

There is a customiser for the pack here.

Issues we already know about:
  • PureBDcraft
  • Grass overlay (flower/stone) can be seen inside Shulker Boxes -- will be fixed next release
  • Blue Shulker Box looks purple -- will be fixed next release
  • Observer block is oversized/positioned wrongly -- fixed -- please redownload the pack
  • Textures on most mobs with folded arms are wrong -- Minecraft bug -- hopefully fixed by Mojang soon (fixed by us in r2 via Optifine)
  • Clock/Compass doesn't spin when using Forge -- Forge bug -- Fixed in Forge 2206
  • When glass panes are placed on top of other glass panes in a "step" design there's a hole in the top/bottom of the pane. This is because Mojang hasn't made the panes aware of other panes above/below them. We prefer those gaps over not being able to do a nice solid glass pane effect ;)

Finally! I looked after the updated texture pack literally every day since the first snapshots, and now I can eventually play with it. Great!

Live the details you worked out, especially with the new llama carpets *looking at grey Spitty McNerdystone* =D Oh, and is the totem an easter egg?

Unfortunately, it seems like the old bug in creative menu re-appears. When you open the "Decoration" tab and scroll down, it will pause for some seconds until you can look at the lower its there. Also the skulls are looking into the background, not like they are supposed to look.

Not sure whether it's attended, but the observer block might be a little bit too huge scaled when holding in your hand. And the brewing stands a little bit too low (you can only see the top part). [256x version]

Besides that, the packs looks solid. Thanks for that! =)

Sigh, and I was hoping for a bug free release.

The skulls facing the wrong way is the same in vanilla. I guess they messed up their models and as we don't deal with them they're broken for us ( https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-109831 ).

No idea why you get lag in the creative menu. I think that's Minecraft applying the tints to all the potions/arrows/etc.

The brewing stand is a bit low, true.

And the observer block is lacking its block/block parent hence it being "wrong".

My theory on the "Decoration" tab lag is that it's loading the banners.

The observer will be updated asap, but for now, you can use the zip linked in the first post. Just drop it in your resourcepacks folder and make sure it's above the main PureBDcraft pack.

Frankenstein and Dracula. Can't wait to find a mansion ! And I really like the new zombie villager sound. I wish you guys made a resource pack for the Pocket/Windows 10 edition. I would gladly pay the 3.99$ they ask for the others.

For those particularly desperate for the Iron Nugget and are just too impatient to wait you can use this one:

It's 512x, but I'm sure you'll be okay with 1 huge texture for a while (considering an update to the pack should happen in the next few days anyway).

Right click > Save the above png > rename it iron_nugget.png > open your PureBDcraft zip > navigate to /assets/minecraft/textures/items and drag/drop the png there.


**EDIT: Or just redownload the pack as the nugget was added to r2 ;)

Loving the 1.11 update! My only gripe is the random ladder missing planks (512x with 3D blocks add-on.) I know it's a random alternate texture placement by design, but is there an alternate file to keep all ladders normal (not missing planks)?
Also, loving HanFox's customization generator.
All of you rock!
