I imagine that's meant to be the attack sweep texture.

You may want to check it /assets/minecraft/textures/entity/sweep.png

It's meant to look like the attached image.

If it's seems correct you'll have to try disabling mods until you find the culprit. If you use Optifine try disabling that first.

WoW, Thanks for the fast reply, yes it seems that is it, but the file exists in the ressource pack,
i have optifine installed but i tried without and the problem still exists

Any idea what mod could cause this?

No idea, sorry. You'll need see if you can figure it out by disabling each mod and trying again.

okay :/ thanks for the first hint, this will be a hell of a pain :(

-- edit --

okay found the culprit! the missing sweep texture is caused by

albedo

https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/albedo

Its a coremod but optional so i removed it :)

Ah yes, considering that seems to hook in to Minecraft's rendering methods it probably isn't compatible with Optifine.

Optifine has to have a lot of work done to it just so it works with Forge.

Well thanks for reporting back. Hopefully it'll help others.

I'll lock this.
