Texture Patches for ATLauncher > Mod Pack-Resonant Rise?

We have recently moved on from using FTB Ultimate 1.4.7 and switching over to ATLauncher to run MC 1.6.4 with Mod Pack Resonant Rise. Looking over FTB forums and the history of RU and RR, FTB & ATLauncher to see what patch packs would be needed to combine to make a working Sphax Texture Pack for RR.

Is there currently anyone using Sphax Resource (Texture) Packs with ATLauncher > Mod Pack-Resonant Rise?

What, if any patch packs are you mixing to complete as much as possible to run under ATL Mod Pack Resonant Rise?

Maybe a better question is there any future plans for Sphax Texture Packs to support other mod packs with ATLauncher?

Texture patches are generally all the same, no matter what launcher you use (file structure changes based on the Minecraft version of course). It gets installed into the resourcepacks/texturepacks folder and you select it in minecraft. The only caveats are when the launcher places those files for you, but the only thing that changes is the location. Unless this new ATLauncher is acting as some kind of resource management system for minecraft, the existing texture patches should already be compatible.

You'll notice that texture patch packs like tekkit lite and FTB are just using the existing patches all combined into a single archive which simply alleviates the user from doing it themselves. There are no extra special methods involved for making them compatible with those launchers.

I am currently running Resonant Rise on my server and have a resource pack, however there are quite a few mods un-textured.
What i have been doing is the patches not 1.6.x ready i just ported myself and used those.
I also did not use a part of any other existing mod pack patch, i just spent a couple of hours getting all the patches and porting them.

- Aedaeum, thanks for your prompt reply and relocation of this post in a proper forum. My only mentioning of ATLaunch in accordance to the Mod Pack-Resonant Rise, was to identify that Sphax has mod pack support for FTB Unleashed and FTB alone (Ultimate, etc.) among a few other's Tekkit, Voltz, Hexxit, etc. Regardless of Launcher solution. I was looking across forum's for anyone who has used ATLaunch's RR with Sphax. Unfortunately many are using Soartex and/or Faithful with RR, but not many mentions if any for Sphax. I have already been working on creating a custom folder to include inside the main Sphax PureBDcraft 64x64 edition for MC1.6.4, but I'm finding a few that will not work and need updates.

- Sir Oldie, thanks for the response. I have been using Sphax PureBDcraft 64x64 MC1.6.4 for ATLaunch's Resonant Rise unmodified.

Reading up on RU and now RR development - I was in the process of combining packs from FTB and FTB Unleashed to round out textures missing for RR. Like you said, these patches are not 1.6 ready.

Have you considered posting your changes for RR online?

Ah, ok, so basically you're asking if anyone is willing to make (or already has) a texture patch pack for RR. If Sir Oldie already has most of that done, I'm sure he could whip up a WIP for it, if he's not too busy :)

Hey gents,

First time posting, long time lurker.

I've actually been maintaining a Sphax texture pack for Resonant Rise for my own personal use for quite some time now. It probably has at least 90% of the mods included, many that I've personally converted from older versions to MC 1.6. I've also made many tweaks, such as getting rid of Metallurgy's override of the vanilla tools and armors, and reverting them back to Sphax textures.

Since we have no packs for RR and I'm active in the community, I wanted to ask permission to have this pack be considered for the "official" RR texture pack, at least internally for our own use. I've been getting good feedback, and turning lots of people onto the work you've done here.

EDIT: Oh, and obviously I'm willing to keep maintaining and updating it, since I'm already doing it for myself.

Okay, I have no problem removing the base files since that's only a single folder.

There's no such thing as "official" anything when it comes to BDcraft Minecraft patches (unless Sphax does it himself, which is highly unlikely). If you want to do a modpack patch (and no other exists) you can.

You need no one's permission.

You just can't include base resourcepack files.

Okay, gotcha.

What I mean by "official" is that you guys can offer it up in your "releases for modpacks" section, since you don't currently have one available. I don't care about it having some official designation, that's not what I mean. Just that you would be able to offer to people a modpack for Resonant Rise users, and I would be willing to keep maintaining it.

People constantly ask for RR texture packs, and at the moment, the one I'm working on is the only one I've seen. Why not make it available? It's win-win for both parties.

Let me know what you think. In the meantime, I'll remove the basepack files when I have time to do a comparison.

Well, mod pack patches can only be added to the website page if you make a thread first as they need to link to it for support.

Ah, I understand. Sorry, I thought you guys (the admins of the site) created the threads for the modpacks, then linked them to the download page. Hence my confusion and why I was asking.

So, when I have time to revise everything, I'll make my own thread and we'll go from there.
