When I place the texture pack in the texturepackfolder and start it up the game terminates by itself. I tried to start up while not having it in and it worked, placed the texturepack in the folder while in-game and when I choose it the game terminates again. Any help?
I was getting the white screen too, but managed to fix it. The instructions are correct, you just have to use the optifine for 1.1 as opposed to 1.2.3 (Tekkit is running 1.1 still if I remembered correctly). Don't forget to start with a fresh jar
are folders supposed to be replaced when transferring files from the SMP folder to the original? because every time i drag them over they have to get replaced or should i just put the contents of same name folders in the Original Texture packs folder?
MAC Users when you recompress the file after putting the SMP into the Base texture pack, you CANNOT select the file and compress, but go into the file, select all the goodies inside and compress that. For me, it was around 40 item. It has to do with the structure of Java and how it wont be able to open the folder in the .zip. When done correctly the .zip file will be named Archive.zip or some for of that.
(Yes this may seem like a simple mistake to the experienced but not everyone is experienced)

Scratch that. I got it.
Now I have a problem with the white screen. It only happens when I add the OptiFine. p.s. I got rid of the Meta thing folder
When I place the texture pack in the texturepackfolder and start it up the game terminates by itself. I tried to start up while not having it in and it worked, placed the texturepack in the folder while in-game and when I choose it the game terminates again. Any help?
I followed exactly what you said, I still got the White Screen :L

Guy's I've put up a Installation video for windows for the tekkit pack and for the texture pack if you're having problems.
