Hi there,

i already posted my question in another thread without getting answered so i'd like to ask here too as it might be more appropriate:

I created a downsized version of the Tekkit 64x pack using the BDcraft 16x pack as a base. The pack is mainly aimed at lower-end and 32bit systems as it uses way less memory and has better framerates. I'd like to know if i'm allowed to share this pack with a wider audience then just the 4 people on my server. What are the conditions on doing so ?

I used:

...all downsized to 16x beauty Winking

You can share the Tekkit part of the zip (mods, etc.), but you cannot redistribute the base Sphax pack.

if i had a dollar for every tekkit thread on this forum. in a few years, i'd be rich lol.

that said at least you downscaled stuff, which takes some effort, instead of just packing everything together.

Currently there are around 30 threads you could buy i low end microphone for that amount, and thats in a week or two by the end of the year you could probably buy a decent computer if you got a dollar(Pounds are better Very Happy) every thread

As Hanfox said, you can redistribute your Tekkit 16x version (but you should ask the different authors who worked on it before).

However, you are not allowed to redistribute the content of PureBDcraft in any way.

Alright, Thanks for the enlightenment. I'll make it an AddOn-Pack then, linking the fellows interested in it to this site for the 16x pack download and have the rest of the stuff (basically a diff) on my site. might also upload it here if i'm allowed to.

Since i'm here anyway now: @Sphax, HanFox, ecsport108: Do i have permission to use Your material ?

Thanks a lot.

Turned out that even one of the guys with a netbook is now able to play Tekkit. It's still a little laggy but still an improvement over being unplayable with the 64x pack Winking

Sure.

I can quite happily say any patches by myself, pcmaster160, SPARKST3R or CadenDonuts can be mangled any way you like Tongue

I am very interested in this add-on pack Very Happy
Finally someone took pity on those of us with lower-end computers and made a lower res texture pack. I look forward to seeing this released.
Also, would you be able to make this 32x? It seems my computer is able to handle 32x textures on Tekkit.

As I said in the topic dedicated to rules for patches/addons, you have my authorization to use my textures to create new ones only. And for any addon made with them, you must release it on the "Mods support - Patches" section of this forum. Winking

If you put it on the patches section, you mind throwing up a link here? I've been looking so long for something like this. Thanks.
