It might as well be cheating!

Big Dig is a pack centered around a new kind of world generation, with large and frequent ore veins. With a hefty mod list and a ton of fat veins, we hope you'll spend less time collecting resources, and more time experimenting with the best mods the Minecraft community has to offer. Ride a chocobo, build the factory of your dreams, and melt down all the ores - some call it cheating. And, well, it pretty much is.

Formerly one of the most popular Custom Modpacks available, this has become an Official Technic Modpack.


Version 2.02 - Updated June 10, 2013

This version is geared toward 1.3.9 and is still a WIP!

A lot! I don't have my list with me, but to put it into perspective, the file below contains 3,931 of the 6,751 png files included in the original mod files.

Installation


  • Step 1: Download Patch (see above) and Sphax PureBDcraft file. (Either Sphax PureBDcraft 128x128 or 64x64 for MC1.4.7).
  • Step 2: Combine Files (Recommend you either use 7zip, or extract both, place Big Dig files into PureBDcraft folder, rezip).
  • Step 3: Place combined texture pack into %appdata%.technicbigdigtexturepacks.
  • Step 4: Prepare system (ensure Java up-to-date, Technic has sufficient memory (>1 gb) and using 64-bit Java (if applicable). May also consider installing Optifine (1.4.6 HD_U_D5).

Well that's a lot tidier, but for some reason you have a zip of the 128x patch inside the 128x patch zip...

I took the liberty of fixing Pam's Weee! Flowers (as well as the vanilla red and yellow flowers).

All you have to do is add the files from this .zip archive to the Sphax texture pack.

Credits:
Original texture patch {here}. All I did was reconfigure the textures to work with the version of Weee! Flowers included in Big Dig.

You aren't allowed to redistribute base Sphax files. Unfortunately, even though it was to be helpful, It's against the licence Angry

That was an unintentional oops. Thanks for the heads up.

I've re-uploaded the .zip without terrain.png but I can't edit my original post for some reason.

It will be a bit easier to "patch" textures in 1.5 due to them being separate files Happy
So all you would need to do is change the texture and stick it in the correct path to overwrite the base file

I noticed that nifty feature when trying to compile this Tongue

But until mods are updated, I'm sure what we've got here will be sufficient ^_^

I fixed the patch with your inclusion... it actually ended up 7mb smaller without the "[0.7]PamsCombinedMod" file... which apparently didn't do ANYTHING for the version of Pam's Flowers in this pack anyways Tongue

Preview is still a WIP... I'm thinking a gif with shots from the character's inventory. If anyone can suggest something better, let me know!

As far as the preview goes it can be anything as long as it's in-game and representative of what you can do with the mod pack.

So it can be a quarry setup, a room of engines, any mod specific biomes or special dungeons. Basically if you've done anything in your world with it just hit F2 and post it up. Don't stress too much Winking

Very good, but could you add in Thaumcraft 3 textures? The modpack description says it has the TC3 configs, so you could use it in the modpack, but unfortunately, due to permissions, it can't be used in the modpack by default, so TC3 has to be installed manually. So, TC3 textures, please?
