Messed Up Technic Textures while holding items

I'm using the 64x64 pack, and I also have Optifine installed. All of the textures are working when blocks are placed in the world, and all textures are showing up in NEI, the inventory, etc. However, when I'm holding things in my hand the textures are only 2D. For example, all industrial craft machines are a. single face. Also, when I hold the redpower machines they come up as "Update TP."

I've installed all the patches, and the textures work fine when the block is placed. What's wrong?

Just some examples of what items display when held in hand:
Refined Iron/Copper/Tin/Uranium blocks = invisible (hand disappears, nothing displays)
All RedPower machines = Light Blue "Update TP" (when I have the RedPower patch in)
All RedPower ore = Light Blue "Update TP" (again... patch installed)
All RedPower lamps = Display top of gray grass block texture
All Industrial Craft machines = A single face of a block
Build Craft Machines = Invisible

Vanilla blocks = works fine
RedPower corners = works fine
NetherOres = works fine
Items (as opposed to blocks/machines) = work fine

If the texture is messed up when holding a block in hand but is ok when the block is placed, it's probably a bug with your installation of Tekkit or Optifine...
Try reinstalling it.

I used the Technic launcher, so I didn't install the mods myself. I'll try to reinstall and report back.

I also have read in some places that Optifine may be bugged... thought that was worth noting.

Update:
Emptied out all Technic SSP files and redownloaded them from the launcher with no success. Uranium ore went from invisible to a single face, but held items are still buggy.

Default textures work fine. All blocks render perfectly without a texture pack. What if I transfer all the Sphax 64x64 files and patches into the mod Zips and bin? Will that result in any errors?

I have the same problem, I read on a post on this forum that it is an issue with the 4096 blockid fix and version 7.2.6, I think it is something the technic pack crew has to fix, it isn't a texture pack issue.

Not the technic pack people they arent capable of fixing it
Its lexmanos who can fix it and it is fixed in the yet unreleased version of forge for 1.3
