I've identified what I think are problems caused by PureBDcraft. Let me know if this is not the case and I will try to figure out an alternative explanation!

I have the following installed. As far as I know, they are all up to date with the latest version:
- Minecraft v1.3.2
- MCpatcher v2.4.1_03
- ModLoader for MC 1.3.2
- Better Than Wolves v3.93

EDIT: The problem appears to be MCpatcher. MCpatcher worked fine with Better Than Wolves in MC1.2.5, but now there seems to be some issues.

Using Optifine will allow one to use PureBDcraft with BTW, but it will cause glitches in the texture of some items held in one's hand. As of yet, I have found no way around this issue.

The bottom line is, if you want to use PureBDcraft with Better Than Wolves, use Optifine, not MCpatcher. :(

EDIT: The problem was CTM (Connected Textures Mod). Disable that in MCpatcher and all is well!

Hi Panda

I think(Going off the little bit of knowledge from listening to the forge devs converse)
This is because of mcpatcher and the high resolution texture pack looking at the log(It seems to be exactly the same error)
I would suggest trying optifine unless its incompatible with BTW
Im not a tech genius so i may be barking up the wrong tree in the wrong forest but i hope this helps a bit

*SIGH* I was hoping it wouldn't be an Optifine issue! I stopped using Optifine because something in it clashes with BTW and ruins the smooth HD texture of items in my hand. I'll go give it a try and see if it solves the problem.......... Sad

The items inhand was an actuall bug but not sure if it is actually clashing with BTW im going to test it to see

As far as I could tell, it was a BTW issue. When I use Optifine without BTW, I don't see items in hand glitching.

Also, I saw in the Optifine post on MCF that the hand glitch was solved, but when I installed it with BTW just now the glitch is still there.

Also, I saw in the Optifine post on MCF that the hand glitch was solved, but when I installed it with BTW just now the glitch is still there.

Yeah seems to happen to me too i dont know how to fix it ill see about mcpatcher see if i can get that to work

EDIT: None of the issues you were having happen to me so i think its just you i can place dirt slabs fine as well as axles and rotate them too
I havent got a clue how to do the cement thing so i cant comment on that

Do you mean that you have no crashes with axles/dirt slabs with the same mods that I have?

Could you tell me your installation process?

Here is mine:
1. Start with a clean version of Minecraft.
2. Run MCpatcher. Patch.
3. Load Modloader to MCpatcher. Patch.
4. Load BTW to MCpatcher. Patch.
5. Run game.

I think this is the standard way that one would install/run the game, and it has been working fine for me in MC 1.2.5. I don't think it would matter, but I play on an Apple Mac.

EDIT: When I run Optifine I install everything manually, meaning that I delete the META-INF folder, then copy the BTW files and Optifine files into the minecraft.jar folder.

What is the "Patch" on line 4? Are you using MCpatcher?

Ah, this poses another problem for me. When I'm using MCpatcher, it refuses to work if I touch the minecraft.jar file in any way. For instance, in order to delete the META-INF folder, I have to change the extension of minecraft.jar to .zip, extract it as a folder, then add .jar again. When I do this, MCpatcher (the sneaky little bastard!) recognizes that I've messed with the original .jar file and refuses to read it properly.

Any suggestions on how to bypass this issue? Tongue Also, I assume you play on Windows?
