Rei`s Minimap
Provide a customizable on-screen minimap.
Note
These textures are not originally by me. They are originally by _Rodrix_ in this post on the Minecraft Forum Sphax topic. The link he provided is now dead; I'm making this thread to keep his work alive as he's not very active on the Minecraft forum.
I have edited them slightly to make the arrow a little easier to see which way you're facing at a glance and tried, and failed, to tidy up the waypoint markers that are placed in the world.
Installation
This mod does not support the textures when placed in the Sphax texture pack.
You MUST unpack the files in to the mod zip itself.
- Open the zip for the Rei's Minimap mod you download from the Minecraft Forum
- Open the texture pack addon from this thread
- Drag drop textures to the mod zip
- Run Minecraft and go to the Rei's Minimap options and change the map to Zan's version of the textures
Downloads
One link to rule them all --> There is no 128x/64x as the textures are tiny anyway I didn't see a point.

Very nice textures, love it.
Moderates like a sweet prince.
Yea, so glad I kept them
How do I get squaremap2.png as my default map?
I can change the map to all the other ones, but I cant seem to get squaremap2.png

It's an alternate texture, you would have to rename it to squaremap.png

Can you post a video detailing how to install this?
Nope, but I can tell you in a few easy steps.
[*]Run Minecraft and go to the Rei's Minimap options and change the map to Zan's version of the textures[/list]
OOOOHHHHHH that explains a lot
someones gotta bug rei about putting a / in his texture calls so it can go in the texturepack folder.

I'm on a mac, so I tried to do things a bit differently and failed.
What I did was I went to library/Application Support/techniclauncher/tekkit/mods. I then uncompressed the zip file with the unarchiver and applied the reifnsk file into the mod folder. I then recompressed it back into a zip file. When I open up tekkit it says the game has crashed and only lists 40 mods.
The recompressed file was the same name as before, I checked.
Help plox?
