I second this, how on earth do I "update forge" and fix the forge 4096 id patch bug?

unfortunately its a minor bug and there is no fix yet. maybe with 1.3.1 there will be.

Thanks i installed the texture pack but there is one annoying problem
When i hold some items in my hand (marble, re insulated wire)
mainly Buildcraft items they either say "update Texture" OR there nothing just grey is there something ive done wrong or have you not updated the textures

you have the same problem some people before you are having: the (to me) infamous forge 4096 id patch bug. I tried installing the new forge version, which is actually supposed to fix it. and I have good news and bad news.

the good news is: it works, the blocks are fixed.

the bad news is: it brakes pretty much everything else (it brakes the connection between all the mods and forge I think.) I haven't looked into it fully yet but at the very least it breaks animated textures like fire and water.

this is due to my primitive forge updating method: drag and drop new forge files into modpack.jar (drag an dropping it into minecraft.jar does nothing).

Where are the patches?

Slow down, there, champ! These things can take a while to be resolved, and the issue was just addressed the other day, so give it time.

Disregard that, I completely misunderstood your question. The patches themselves can be downloaded by clicking either of the two buttons found under the "Show Spoiler" button in the Downloads section of the first post. Hope this helps.

I think I understand, I was being a total nugget, I thought that the downloads were the texture pack... I am ashamed by my stupidity, Thanks for you help anyways

I downloaded BDCraft Technic 7.2 64x and have Sphax Purebdcraft texture pack already on and then merged them. But every time I try to go on singleplayer it crashes straight away. Any solution to the problem?
