Since Technic 7.2, I havent been able to use Sphax.
I've tried 1.2.5 and 1.3.1 x64/x128.
I've tried to use MCPatcher, but I always end up with white texturebuttons, and when I get it to work, the game crashes when I enter a world.

Windows 7 x64
3,8Ghz CPU
AMD 6970 x2 in crossfireX.
16gb RAM

I am at a loss here, so please, help me out.

You can't use MCPatcher with Technic, as it's not compatible with Forge. MCPatcher edits something like 6 base classes even when you tell it not to do anything, and these classes clash with Forge itself. Only use Optifine for Technic, as it's fully compatible and I'm pretty sure included.

Anyways, re-download the 1.2.5 Sphax and install this mod support texture patch to it; Technic 7.2

Do it manually. I can't stress enough not to use MCPatcher. It might be a good idea to delete technicssp and start fresh since you pretty much messed up the .jar with MCPatcher.

(No, this isn't a bias. LexManos himself says that Forge isn't compatible with it)

Oh, I did not know that. I've only read that I need to use MCpatcher to get textures to work.

That's only partly true. The part being that it's only one of the methods to make HD textures possible. The other method (which IS compatible with Forge) is Optifine. Which, as I mentioned, comes pre-packaged with the Technic Pack. So, you literally only need to install the texture pack, add the Technic Mod Support patch to it, and then run the game. Happy

Apparently it is either a bug with Optifine itself or Forge but I am having a similar problem with majority of the textures not working and just being grey patches of nothing or saying "Update TP". Personally I can't play with a bunch of grey textures so unless it's fixed or someone can help me I'll just go back to Tekkit

I've found that this can be fixed by simply allocating more memory to minecraft.

Note that rather than "minecraft.exe", you will have to use "techniclauncher.exe" or "techniclauncher.jar" in order for it to work with the technic pack.
