Hey Sphax and all who may roam the forums. I LOVE this texture pack, so much that it has inspired me to create my own. But the thing is that I don't have a software that will let me do this. So I am asking you (mainly Sphax) what software should I use?

Well, I've heard you could use photoshop or paint but there is a tool which lets you color by cube or pixel. I'm not sure which tool it is. Check out 777static777's video on YouTube. It really helps on how to make texture packs from 16x16 to 128x128 via photoshop. You can also use Gimp. I'm not good at this I'm just learning the basics.

I know this thread had died but NEVAH use paint, it absolutely butchers transperency. If you used paint you would end up with square white boxes in your hand instead of a nicely textured(Depending on ability) diamond sword
GIMP and photoshop are good choices

Right, now I am trying to make a retro texturepack of some sort and I am failing. Can you give me any advice? Because every time I try to make a high resolution one, it gets a lot harder to texture.

Gregoravich69, I would like to try your texturepack when you're done.

No, you haven't.

It's the sixth thread - at the time of posting - in the appropriate section of the forum.
