Hello everyone!

I was registered here a long time ago and haven't been on much.

One thing, what are emeralds?

How do you gain them, what are their purpose and most importantly, why do we need them?

Edit: After some looking around, I realize they may be a 'rank' system. Is this correct?

Also, why aren't my old posts counted towards this 'total'?

They are a sort of ranking system, yes.

Your old posts aren't counted because they happened before the system was implemented and there's no easy way to get it to go back to count.
