Oh do you mean a photoshop action? Sounds like an intelligent solution haha. If its an action then can you upload it for me?
It's a Photoshop script I made which get the transparent part of the picture transformed 2bit and then apply it to the 32bit one... ;)
How does it choose the colour to use? Is it either going to be 100% alpha or 0% alpha depending on the specific pixel?

Does it have a threshold or percentage for deciding whether to make it either on or off or is it something else entirely?

I'm wondering as I can use ImageMagick to remove semi-transparent pixels via a threshold (currently 25% as 50% looked odd), but if you do it an entirely different way it'd be good to know.

I think I found a work around.... For Photoshop
1.Duplicate the layer you want to get rid of transperancy..
2.Threshold the duplicated layer to a value either 1 or 255
3.Select the duplicated layer in the transparent part.
4.Delete the selection from the original layer...
5.Prosper

Note i havn't checked this in game as of yet to make sure all transparency is deleted but i think it should.... There may be an easier way though.

Here's the before and after

It'd be an interesting post if the final image was actually one that had transparency and didn't lose quality. Have you got a 32-bit png to show the same effect?

My script is something like that but you need to duplicate several times the first layer and merge them before deleting the transparency.

I've been making textures for PureBDcraft (or at least trying to) for more than a year now and I only just read this thread.

I wish I at least had done so before I wasted an entire day trying (and failing miserably) to make a CURVED samurai sword for Millenaire Very Angry

It causes acne and male sterility. There have also been reports of spontaneous combustion Cool
