The vertical issue seems to be fixed, however I've noticed when using a furnace (smelting anything) there's a single pixel line of oak wood over the top of the furnace texture. This issue exists with 16x16, 32x32, and 64x64. I haven't yet tested the upper two resolutions. I registered an account just to check in and report this issue.
Specifically I'm using the Vanilla BD Craft texture pack.

I have split your post from the other thread as VBC hasn't had an update recently, so I'm not sure what could have really been fixed
Can you take a screenshot of your furnace UI issue?
