If you stack a grass block on top of a dirt block, or a dirt block on top of another dirt block, the texture doesn't transition properly. There are some strange kinks where shadows are suddenly cut off, or some of the shapes are misaligned, or the edge of one shape will suddenly become thicker.

*Edit: Ah, maybe I should mention that I'm using the 128x version for 1.6.2 with Optifine
**Edit: The same is also true with the top-down view on dirt blocks placed adjacent to each other. The East-West edges.

If it does it with Optifine, but not MCPatcher it may be the old Optifine bug where it flips textures for no reason when using CTM...

MCPatcher <-> Optifine
Note: My MCPatcher was slightly outdated, BetterGrass works fine in MCPatcher 4.1.0_04

*moved to Bugs*

So that's Optifine failing with BetterGrass. Nifty.

Ah yeah this seems to be the cause. There is an option in Optifine called Natural Textures that is supposed to do this, but it seems to be automatically enabled as long as Connected Textures is enabled, even if I have Natural Textures disabled. I fixed the issue by going into .properties and editing the weight values for now.

Mhh, 'Fancy' looks, well, fancy :D
I have to try that, looks better than my current MCPatcher-patched client.

Would you mind sharing your natural.properties ?

BetterGrass seems to be faulty in 1.6.2, or I am doing something wrong.
Enabling it before patching 1.5.2 results in fancy BetterGrass, just like your Image above.
Doing the same for 1.6.2 does not change anything, looks still like my first screenshot.. :(

Nevermind, it is fixed in MCPatcher 4.1.0_04, I was using 4.1.0_03.
