I just recently started using sphax, and i love it. But the torches are a BIG problem. I use the original 128x bdcraft resource pack and those usually are quite nice to my computer, but for some reason sphere wasn't. and after a while I started realising that it was the torches. my max fps is on 60, and I am often at 60fps, but when I'm looking at jut ONE torch it drops down to 8fps. not kidding. PLEASE fix this, because I do not want to have my minecraft look like crap just because of lag torches. I want my minecraft to look sphaxy and that is not possible when the average fps is 8fps, just because of an ultra mega laggy torch texture.

photos of my lag should possibly be attached

*moved to Bug Reports*

I get a solid 60FPS (solid 180 without VSync) no matter how many torches I throw down.

Just to make sure are you definitely using 1.8r4 of the pack and are you using Optifine or MCPatcher? And if so what settings do you have set? The more information you provide the better I can test and see if it's replicatable under certain circumstances.

Nope. Still can't produce any issues.

I even tried enabling Anisotropic Filtering (16x) and Anti-Aliasing (16x) and my FPS still didn't fluctuate.

Make sure you're using Optifine C7 and make sure you're using the latest version of the PureBDcraft pack (as I said it's v1.8.4 -- it'll tell you this on the resourcepack screen) and if you do have Anisotropic Filtering or Anti-Aliasing on disable them (they don't do much in Minecraft and generally just serve to kill your FPS in general).

It might just be because of the world I'm in. I tried the same thing on a different world ad the fps only dropped to around 55-58.
