As of the 1.16 Texture Pack update that was release on Bedrock (Xbox) today for PureBdcraft the Icon for being hit with an arrow of Slowness is not longer a Ball & Chain, but what appears to be a Texture Map.

Photo Attached.

Official bug report: https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MCPE-65491

Note by HanFox: It's been discovered that putting the UI pack above the main PureBDcraft pack will workaround this issue.

For some reason the game is failing to map the effects from the bottom of that texture correctly, and is instead just showing the entire sheet.

If you can't find a report on https://bugs.mojang.com already, you may want to report it there to bring attention to the game devs.

The game didn't update. Only the texture pack updated. It was working perfectly before the texture pack update went live. Which means (just like the Loom Crash) this is an issue with the Texture Pack, and not the game.

Bug report on the official tracker, please vote for it: https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MCPE-65491

EDIT: After a bit of investigation, whilst it does seem the game is at fault for messing up and using the whole mess you see for effects when it shouldn't it's quite possible that we can fix it at our end anyway. Basically just by removing an old file.

It simply seems like the game is getting confused. This still overall means it's a game bug as the game should be working this stuff out for itself. Old files shouldn't cause these issues (if they do cause these issues then Mojang should be forcing us to remove them).

If Mojang don't issue a game fix beforehand, we'll have this fixed in a future pack update.

This will be fixed next pack release... the workaround was painfully obvious.

This is now fixed as of the 1.17 update for PureBDcraft. Other packs will follow suit (if they suffer from it) with their updates.
