[Minecraft 'Feature'] There isnt a Mojang Texture?

So i started playing on 1.7.4 and it doesn't seem to have theMmojang texture (BDcraft texture)

I can go to the versions folder and edit it but im just wondering why it doesn't automatically work with the texture pack

I think this is an issue that Mojang don't want to work on because they justify it as much as they can (displaying the real crappy logo blablabla)...
I hope they will re-allow this feature soon...
