So most people when making their textures will usually use Adobe Photoshop/Adobe Fireworks/GIMP to make their textures. As such, these programs make PSDs/PNGs (Fireworks style) which would likely be useful to other modders when working on their own patches.

I propose that we work to get a community repository going for these source files so that we can speed up patches, and possibly allow others from the community to update patches which are out of date and the creator MIA.

One great use of this type of repository is that we could mostly eliminate variance in small things like steel/tin/copper bars and other items like dusts, gears, plates, blocks, etc. By establishing a community template we can allow anyone to make their own gear using the same gear type, making mods less varying in their depiction of these objects.

Any thoughts? I'm welcome to ideas, and would be happy to assist/be involved in this effort.

There are some static PNGs here (as well as some of Grumpy's random PSDs) that are meant to keep certain elements unified: https://github.com/HanFox/Sphaxified

And lots of general PSDs here: https://bdcraft.net/community/pbdc-patch ... -t183.html

If you would like to see them in a more useful structure in a proper repository feel free to do so.

Fireworks PNGs are useless for most users though (they don't translate to PSD properly) so there's not much use to me sharing all of those.
