I am playing a modpack with some friends that is based on Minecraft 1.4.7. Some of the mods in the pack (More Swords, Mystic Mods etc) have Texture packs for 1.5.1 but not 1.4.7. I figure it shouldnt be too hard to take the existing textures and migrate them to the lower version, but i havnt the slightest clue where to begin, and google isnt helping. Any tips or pointers are greatly appreciated. THANKS!

1.4.7 to 1.5.1 is one of the most annoying processes I have seen. You need to find a way to split up a single image into equal smaller images. Then rename those images to what is in the files stuctures.

Unfortunately, I don't remember the program that does that X.X sorry

I'm trying to go the other direction though. I have 1.5.1 textures. I want to convert them to 1.4.7

You will need to use GIMP or something to stitch all the textures together in to a spritesheet.

First you'll need to make the default 16x (256x256) sheet the size you want the textures to be 64x would be (1024x1024) then you'd place in all the singular images and place them in the correct places on the sheet.
