Trapdoor Texture

Hi all
I've been trying to edit the Sphax trapdoor texture recently, but can't seem to figure out which texture I am actually supposed to be editing. All I really want to do is remove the ring from the trapdoor, but when I open the trapdoor texture in gimp there is no ring and just the wood/iron background. Furthermore if I do edit that I can only see the changes when I break the block. Could any of you point me in the right direction and let me know what it is I am doing wrong here?

The default trapdoor texture is in /assets/minecraft/textures/blocks/trapdoor.png

However, as you're using MCPatcher or Optifine in game you're seeing the trapdoor CTM textures from /assets/minecraft/mcpatcher/ctm/misc files 140.png - 143.png.

Basically to stop the CTM textures (with the rings) being used you'll need to delete the files in the above folder that are called trapdoor.properties, trapdoor_a-n.properties:

Thanks for that! New textures are now appearing after I did what you recommended.
