Hello

I'm currently voluntairily working for Mojang in the technical support Helpchat, and I help people who have problems with their games, like updating they graphics drivers, telling them how to fix their game and other stuff. A very common error is the "OutOfMemory" error, which is mostly caused because the user installed a ressourcepack that his system couldn't handle.

And that is in 95% of the cases, surprise, Sphax PureBDCraft, 512x.

Now, it could save us alot of time and hassle, a lot of frustration for the uses and in the end for you as well, as the reports about it in this forum also will go down.

I definitely see the point of not adding a warning to the downloads: The users would be afraid because there is a warning and then they wouldn't download it which would lead to less income through the ads etc, but it, as said before, make things easier for everyone.

So please consider adding a warning to the higher resolution ressourcepacks (256x, 512x) that not every system can handle it. The minimum requirements? 64-bit, a decent graphics card and enough RAM.

But it's not that hard: https://twitter.com/Sphax84/status/447793089500172289

Thanks for coming here and posting this.

By the way, I'm sorry that 95% of the issues for Out of Memory are coming from PureBDcraft 512x (I didn't know that...)

I will add for sure a warning message for 256x and 512x. I'll also reorganize the content of the RP to not include MCPatcher heavy features like CTM by default. That should reduce a lot those reports.

Cheers
