A note about "Experimental" Java features

Mojang recently announced they'd mix in experimental features during releases of earlier versions of Minecraft (i.e. a change for 1.20 may be tested in 1.19.x).

We won't be releasing any updates to cover experimental features.

We'll only release updates once the features are considered stable and in a proper release.
