Overall the texture packs look cool and we would like to play with them... However the villagers are a real turn off. In PureBD all villagers regardless of biome look like 3-eyed fish monsters and in VanillaBD they look like a pale skinned Frankenstein’s. What’s the point of making them look so strange?

I wouldn’t have bought either texture pack had I know they look the way they do. I’m especially disappointed in VanillaBD. The only reason I purchased it after PureBD was because it showed a screenshot on the store of villagers who looked normal. Once I got into the game to see that they looked nothing like what was advertised I honestly kind of felt ripped off.

Is there something I can do to change how they look? On the PS4 I can’t find a way to change the villagers. Thanks.

PureBD villagers change in different biomes. At least they're meant to, if they aren't it's a general bug. Are you spawning them with eggs, or exploring different biomes naturally?

The villagers in VanillaBD look as advertised on the marketplace page (which I'm sure are the same as the marketplace images in-game): https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/pdp?id= ... 3296ea1844

It's impossible to please everyone, and not everyone shares your opinion. I'm sorry you're upset, but nothing has been falsely advertised.

There are a lot of YouTuber's who show off the packs, so it's not like you couldn't have checked it all out beforehand to make sure it's what you wanted to play with.

Looking at the screenshot again it hit me. My villagers are missing their noses when I use VanillaBD. It’s amazing how much of a difference this makes in their appearance. Was this intentional? The noses themselves have always been kinda strange, but when you completely remove them it takes the villagers strange looks to a whole new level.

The world I’m playing in using Pure was one that was already established. Would this have something to do with all of my villagers looking like fish people regardless of biome? I have villages in Tagia, Plains and the winter plains biome and they all look like fish people.

Like I said outside of that the texture pack is awesome. I was ChromaHills exclusive until I found it. Hopefully this can be resolved. Also I’m in survival on this world so I can’t use eggs.

Thanks for the quick reply

The villagers in VBC shouldn't lack noses. That's weird. You might want to check in a new world if that's still the case, as we may need to fix that. Although the textures for both the old style and new style villagers have noses

As for using an old world, it's possible that all your villagers may have been converted to Plains villagers when the villager update occurred a few version ago. You might need to go exploring to find the new variants (unless the world just has a flag on it now that all villagers will be plain variants, which would be disappointing).

I’ll check and see. This world was made after the big villager update. The world we were playing in prior to the villager update went bonkers regarding villager jobs and work stations so we started a new one a few months after it came out. Not sure if this helps or not. But when using other texture packs the villagers look unique depending on biome.
