Can I leave some feedback. I think you've made a mistake putting this behind a paywall. I understand that this will not be your most popular texture pack, and I also understand that countless hours will have gone into making this. I'm not saying that I should expect you to work for nothing, not at all. I've been a supporter a few times over the years, purely as a thank you for previous versions of this texture pack.

My concern is that with this being behind a paywall, many people who want this, may not be able to afford this, nor may they want to "risk it" to see if the pack suits them on a gamble. This leads to my next fear. With many people not getting the supporter role, it may look like people are uninterested in this pack, and that concerns me for future updates to this. If you see that not many people have it, then I will guarantee that you won't waste your time updating a pack "no-one" wants. I have already waited for MANY years to get this update and the last thing I want is another abandonment of it.

Again, I'm not saying that you should work for free, or work updating a pack just for me. I just think that with a new release of something that people may be unfamiliar with, leaving it behind a paywall could stop people from getting it.

Cheers,
Z.

We aren't looking at how well GrungeBDcraft does on Java for if we keep the pack updated or not. We don't track download information at all for Java, besides bandwidth usage of all activity on our download servers.

Currently the only thing that will stop us updating the packs is if we literally have no artists to work on them, and we don't foresee that being an issue any time soon ;)

Phew, phew, phew. I'm thankful for your quick and honest response. That's honestly reassuring to me to hear that you don't take download amounts into consideration.

I do still think that you should do things like, "for a week in December, get Grunge for free" or something like that to get the amount of players using it up. I can imagine that there are many people that would love to use this pack that cannot afford to do so. It's also sad for me to think that there could be re-uploads of this in places, but by nefarious people who edit the files to include malware. I've seen posts by people who have fell victim to that on places even like Curseforge (although I do not know if these have been false positives from people using random anti-viruses, or from just unexperienced computer users etc).

Thanks for replying so fast,
Z.

1) OMG, GrungeBDcraft is on FIRE! It BURNS AND STINGS it's so hot! Among those of us who've paid, it is now the exclusive pack we use on our server. I liked it so much, I bought it on Bedrock for my wife and I even though we don't play on Bedrock very much at all. Actually, we bought it for Bedrock before it was offered for Java. Grunge for us is just that smokin'!

2) One of the players on our server and another player, my wife's adult son are not supporters. I'm not really comfortable with the idea of making and "gifting" supporter accounts to them, that would be ... weird. Is there information or a link on how we might donate on their behalf so we can morally (and with permission) gift them copies of GrungeBDcraft?

3) I look forward to when "3d", "Better Leaves" and other such packs are offered. I miss them, but GrungeBDcraft is simply too good to worry about the "frills" for right now.

4) I dream of Normal Maps, Specular... or whatever the hell makes blocks "extra special" with ray tracing active.

5) Last, I'd like to mention GrungeBDcraft is pretty hot! Thank you for your 1.17 release.

StickerMonster and Lizannamae, who put the most artistic talent in to the pack, will be delighted to hear it. I'll pass the message long. :D

Firstly I'd just ask them if they're willing to make accounts so you can buy them some Supporter. They might be interested in the additional benefits :P

If not you can just gift Supporter to myself or Sphax as a "donation". We should probably make a note of that somewhere. There are likely others who may want to donate who don't want accounts

I don't know when/if we'll do addons for Grunge. As the basic pack is still being worked over to smooth out stuff it could be a while before we're ready.

Hi team... I am really enjoying GrungeBDCraft, and wanted to know if there's any ETA on when chests are going to be added to Java edition?

There isn't an ETA for anything currently.

A lot of things are being reworked after Nitro didn't provide his source files before mysteriously disappearing. Things are just being done as we get to them.
