I noticed while using the BDcraft Soundpack that I could hear my friends pickaxe break and I could also here them breaking blocks from very very far away. I'm on minecraft 1.14.2 and the soundpack is 1.13

Not sure when this started happening but I really can't live without these sounds, they are so well made.

Is this pack going to be updated? Is it just me with this problem?

It's not possible for the sound pack to cause that issue.

Other people have apparently reported the issue before: https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-146297

Supposedly it was resolved, but judging by the comments maybe came back?

Maybe try updating to MC1.14.3 as that was released recently.

Thank you for the response! I will try reinstalling it on 1.14.3

[Edit] I tried it on 1.14.3 and it's still the same, I think the pack just needs to be updated

I just did some experimenting with other outdated sound packs and I don't get the same issue, it's only with BDcraft Sounds

There's nothing to update in relation to that though. There are no settings for sound distance (attenuation_distance isn't relevant in case you wonder): https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Sounds.json

It may be an edge case bug with the sound in the pack, where the game, or your computer, is having difficulties with it for some reason.

No one else has complained about this specific issue to us before and, as I already pointed out, it was a bug in the main game at one point, but again didn't seem to be effecting everyone there either.

If it persists, you may have to fiddle with the sounds yourself. The block breaking sounds are located in:

Code: Select all
