Hi,

Im having issues with PureBD Craft 1.12 (Sphax) for FTB Presents Direwolf20 1.12 (FTBPresentsDirewolf20112-2.5.0-1.12.2.zip) which launches through Curse Client.

I've tried multiple attemps and my own troubleshooting but to sadly no success. I've tried with 128x and 64x.

Once i add the Resource Pack it takes ages to load (which i understand that it will do) to the point of a crash with an error message that i think redirects towards Java itself, but im not sure and haven't find much on the web though i might have searched the wrong things.

I've tried both with only installing the resourcepack for the mod itself and the normal Vanilla Sphax for the versions mentioned above.

Below is what shows in F3 menu and it's not even close using the allocated RAM once in-game
Mem: 35% 4731/13369MB
Allocated: 50% 6717MB

This is the error code i can get on a crash whilst trying to install the resourcepack:
The game crashed whilst updating screen events Error: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: GC overhead limit exceeded Exit Code: -1

Any ideas or help here?

A quick Google search of the error suggests adding the following to your instances command line options:

Code: Select all

-XX:-UseGCOverheadLimit

I've never used the Curse client (not even sure I can install it on Linux  ) but from what I can find, in the same section you can change the memory limits you should also see an "Arguments" box where you can add it.

Okey, so i managed to find the place and Minecraft no longer crash on Resource Packs.

I attempted to join my friends server, but neither in-game or the menu seems to transition to the Resource Packs.

I've added two attached files in the original message of the thread.

You also need the main PureBDcraft pack from here: https://bdcraft.net/downloads/purebdcra ... ft/#dl-112

Yes, i had that installed aswell as it shows in the 2 picture i attached in the ticket.

That was the 64x one, but i tried now fresh with 128x and the vanilla one worked perfect and installed within 5min, but when i attemp the FTB one i waited almost up to 2 hours until it went Not Responding and not really doing anything. Im running a quite heavy stacked PC and have allocated 13GB RAM both to Minecraft and FTB from CurseClient so it just feels odd but maybe is quite usual to happen?

So i shut it down and tried again, but on the restart it loads into FTB from the launcher it crashes with an error that a block is missing so im guessing that might have been a hickup somewhere.

But trying the 64x now again to see what happens.

Okey, the 64x version from the link you posted doesn't seem to work with the Direwolf20 version and only the 128x from what im seing.

And that is the vanilla one and not the FTB that is also having the same problem as the above comment.

Both of the packages for 64x gets installed with no hickups but doesn't any newer looks to the menu, singleplayer or multiplayer.

Though when i say that the 128x one is working that is only the Vanilla version since the Modded one wont install properly.

Do i need to allocate more RAM? The following are my specs:

Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-9900K CPU @ 3.60GHz 3.60 GHz
32.0 GB RAM
64-bit operating system, x64-based processor Windows 10
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080

The pictures you posted do not show you installed the main PureBDcraft pack, just 2 modpack patches...

You'll need to post your latest.log from the logs folder from when you try to enable to main pack and the patch pack.

Ah, okey that is my mistake then :innocent:

I've edited the post and attached a .zip file that contains the logs.

This time it didn't timeout once i added them. I started with running the normal one and then the one for the mod. After that was done i got purple/black textures on the menu and the resource packs within Options was reset to Vanilla textures.

Hope the logs will say something.
