So, I've been getting this bug on certain block textures such as Stone and Dirt (not Grass Blocks' grass part though) where it would cover a big portion on the block with a glitchy texture, such as shown in the attached pictures. This would only occur in a radius of 2-3 blocks

(I am using Pure BDCraft 1.14, pre-released OptiFine 1.14.2 and Damaged Items, Note Blocks, ExtraOF addons (1.13 version) from BDCraft)

Does the issue happen without OptiFine?

I suspect it might not happen anymore without the OptiFine, I actually haven't tried that yet as I have been trying to fix this internally, since the problem didn't occur when I was using OptiFine with this texture pack an hour before - it only happened now, after I came back to the game after closing it just an hour before and loaded it in, and it won't go away even after restarting the game.

After trying to run the game without OptiFine, the textures seem to be fine. However, I am no longer able to use the extremely fancy looking 512x512 pack and have to switch to the 256x256 version due to extremely low FPS which OptiFine was doing a very good job at stabilizing and making the overall experience much smoother and very playable by making my FPS much higher. Can't use the ExtraOF add-on without OptiFine either.

That's pretty odd.

Maybe you can ask in the OptiFine discord if they know what could be causing the visual issue as I can't find any info whilst searching? https://discord.gg/tKxWtyf

If you do figure it out it'd be great if you could post here.

Sure thing. I will do that tomorrow though, since I have to go for now.

Okay, so I posted a bug report on the OptiFine discord channel as you told, and one of the people suggested I should turn off the ExtraOF add-on. I guess its older version (1.13) is not compatible with the newer OptiFine (1.14.2) (I haven't actually tested it yet since I didn't have time, but I will try do do that when I'm free today)

ExOF doesn't do anything besides apply some CTM to slabs and allow you to rename some items to change their texture. From your screenshots the glitchyness looks like some sort of overlay (you can see it fade out as it gets further away from you).

Whilst the main pack has some overlays for grass, gravel, sand and snow that doesn't seem relevant here.

Using OF 1.4.2 F1_pre9 I can't replicate the issue with the main pack and ExOF. I even tried messing with settings I know can do odd things like mipmaps, anisotropic filtering, fast render, etc.

Firstly make sure you're on pre9 of OptiFine (latest at time of writing) and your graphics drivers are up-to-date.

Then maybe you could post your optionsof.txt from your .minecraft folder and I can compare it with mine. See if it's a specific setting being sneaky.

Okay, I will post it when I get home. I also just got an idea that the glitchiness might just be buggy shaders, because it seems that the glitches are some sort of bugged lighting effect around me. I'll try to mess with them a little and see if anything changes.
