I've searched everywhere (probably using the wrong terms) and can't for the life of me figure out how to do get the mod patches working.

For example I downloaded the BDCraft mod patch for Biomes O Plenty (and the mod itself and made sure it's working, of course). I added the patch to the resourcepacks folder, but it didn't seem to make a difference. I merged the patch with the BDCraft main file, but it didn't seem to make a difference. I tried replacing the files in the Biomes O Plenty .jar but can't seem to (I get no replacement confirmation).

Could someone explain what to do in simple terms, please? I feel like I'm missing something fundamental. Thanks!

You just need to place the patch zip in your resourcepacks folder and enable it in game.

It things aren't changing make sure the mod patch is for the version of MC you're playing.

That's the first thing I did but it's still wonky so I thought I had to do more. I'll try again!

Oh, hm, it says it's for an older version of Minecraft on the selection screen even though we're still in 1.19.
