How to make the animations and connected texture work on ftb

I've played minecraft classic for long and this pack is my favorite, with mc patcher all the connecting texture and animations always worked perfectly. though, when I took the pack for ftb classic, whose still use mc 1.4.7, I tried to do the same even tough I guessed that mc patcher would make my game crash... and it is what mc patcher did.

The question is : can I make the animations and connecting texture work with ftb? And how ?
