Incompatible w/ ComputerCraft 1.56 (dot & spacing bug)

Open the base resource/texture pack with winrar/zip/whatever. Go to assets>minecraft>textures>fonts
Extract the file ascii.png and open it in an image editor (something better than paint...I don't know...I haven't used it since grade school ). The background will be transparent so its hard to see but zoom in around 5, 80 (there should be a pointer coordinate display somewhere) and there's a little dot. Highlight all of it, being careful to avoid any other characters (zoom way the f in there), and delete.
Now, as others said, this wont fix the spacing issue.
For that I found the best thing is to find a texture pack that uses an evenly spaced HD font, get it, find the .png it draws the font from (should be a similar path as the BDbase), copy that to the BDbase fonts folder, delete/rename the original and rename the copy to ascii.png. That may seem like a hassle, but it took longer for me to type all this out than it did to get it running. The worst part was having to reboot MC between ascii swaps to see if it worked. The best one I've found is from the
I intentionally omitted links since they're from another site. If links are wanted/acceptable let me know. I'll but the ascii on photobucket and link it if that's preferred.

-N.B.-
I hold no affilliations with the creators of ElementalEssence, Faithful, BDCraft or any mod/texture makers. This is not a plug for their product, nor a slight to Sphax and Associates. This is merely a workaround I found for problems regarding the default BDcraft ascii.png and ComputerCraft's method of aligning text on their items.
