It isn't running properly..

It seems that i can't run the 512x512 texture pack on my PC. I have a GTX 660 and about 8gb of RAM so im not certain as to why it won't run. I've downloaded Java 64bit which fixed my initial problems but now it black screens when i attempt to run a world.


Any help is appreciated

Are you actually assigning more RAM to Minecraft?

Just having 8GB of system RAM doesn't mean anything unless you actually assign it to the game.
