Performance Issue with 512x resolution pack

Whenever I try to load the 512x version of pure bdcraft the framerate drops to 2 FPS for no reason. I've tried using and removing optifine with no luck. At first I thought it was my cpu bottlenecking it, but recently I've tried to other 512x resource packs and those work just fine, so its safe to assume that the issue is something else.

Specs:
i7 7700
rtx 3080
16 GB (8 allocated to Minecraft)

You can try enabling Smart Animations in OptiFine's Performance options, or Sodium for the Fabric Modding API.
