The potatoes placed on the ground have an odd purple and black texture

I see the potatoes with this texture each time I place them on the ground. I play with some mods. I have 16000 MB of ram and 4000 MB of graphic card.

What version of Minecraft are you playing? What's the filename of the resourcepack you downloaded?

I play minecraft 1.12.2 and I use Purebdcraft ×128 MC112

Considering the potatoes are definitely showing, and you have a info box on the screen (and a minimap) I guess you're playing with mods, so it's a mod at fault.

You should make sure your mod patches are up-to-date/correct.

If you can't figure out what the cause is you'll need to post your latest.log from your logs folder.

The only missing textures your log mentions are for oil...

There are some broken models for "machinemod" and "growthcraft".

Nothing really stands out... what does it look like without PureBDcraft?
