First post here.

I just wanted to provide some feedback on the 512 resolution textures. I have 32 GB RAM, a 5 gHz CPU, and an nVidia RTX 2080 ti card. I've screwed around with the RAM settings, up to 8 GB, which makes MC crash.

It loads up fine but is laggy as hell. Is it because I'm running OptiFine? Not quite sure, 'cause I'm relatively new to MC. (My 14-year-old daughter talked me into it so we could MP.)

Surely these hi-rez textures work or else no one would bother creating them.

Nvidia is slowly becoming less and less perfomant in Minecraft as they update their drivers for some reason.

If you're running MC1.16 we suggest trying Sodium instead of OptiFine. There are some other mods that bring some OptiFine features across to work with Sodium, too.

But will BDCraft resource packs work with Sodium?

Well, yes, or we'd not be recommending people try it if they have poor performance otherwise

You'll just lose some of the OptiFine specific features (such as RandomMobs, Connected Textures, and CIT models) if there are no mods available to provide them.

Heh-heh... I knew that was a stupid question as soon as I hit 'Submit.'
