MC1.12 - The World of Colour Update

Welcome to the feedback thread for the MC1.12 release of PureBDcraft! :)

Get the downloads here. You can see the changelog here.

The team that created this pack is: Sphax, HanFox, and EskiMojo14!

If you have any feedback, comments, ideas, or opinions about the latest version of PureBDcraft please post in the thread.

If you find any bugs please post them in the Bug Reports section.

There is a customiser for the pack here.

Issues we already know about:
  • PureBDcraft
  • When glass panes are placed on top of other glass panes in a "step" design there's a hole in the top/bottom of the pane. This is because Mojang hasn't made the panes aware of other panes above/below them. We prefer those gaps over not being able to do a nice solid glass pane effect ;)
  • Some of the clock rotations are wrong -- fixed in main pack - redownload
  • One of the paintings is missing (4x4 -- replaces the Burning Skull) -- fixed in main pack - redownload

I think the concrete colours aren't bright enough but the rest is fine

I really like the new style for the menu buttons, it looks really nice. However, I noticed that some of the terracotta blocks don't quite line up correctly when placed in a pattern like they do in vanilla, however this is a minor gripe and isn't a big deal

here's an example of what I mean

-- edit --

as far as i can tell it's only blue, and red doesn't like to line up even in vanilla, i didn't find anything else

ManiacofDoom, maybe we'll take a look, but as you say it's not too bad.

zack11111111119, concrete shouldn't really be bright as it's basically stone, so the colour won't be changing.

Overall great addition with the new blocks. Parrots/beds looks great. My friends, and I who use this texture pack are disappointed in how much darker the concrete colours are compared to vanilla. Builds, that would otherwise looks colourful with 1.12 looks depressing and dark in Purebdcraft.

I have always considered PureBDCraft to be colourful with comic/cartoony palettes. The current colours for these blocks do not seem to reflect this.

Still love the texture pack, keep up the great work. I have been using it for years. The general art direction is very unique :)

Cheers.

Been a big fan of PureBDCraft for as long as I've played Minecraft. Have always enjoyed the art you create. Liking the new textures for new things.

However very disappointed with the concrete colours. I understand that concrete is a stone-like thing but the point of the colour update is colour. I think a texture pack should adhere to the point of a texture rather than the name of a block. You don't need realism in a cartoony "Comic Theme for Adventurers". (Sorry if that was passive aggressive I can often not tell).

Here's an image of the concrete looking rather dull in comparison to wool and a sad looking rainbow:

So after some internal debate we've decided you're right. The colours for the concrete were too muted (and in places even the wrong colour).

Expect an update soon with colours that more closely match vanilla ;)
