The missing fog color change is an optifine thing... without optifine it works.
Weird, I know it doesn't work with vanilla textures + shaders, but with only vanilla textures it worked for me...
I guess the bug belongs to optifine or optifabric then

From the wiki:
Crying obsidian gives off a light level of 10, which does not melt snow or ice. Its blast resistance distinguishes it from other light-emitting blocks.
This makes the block appear lighter than normal obsidian.

The reason vanilla doesn't look so different is because the texture is so dark compared to ours. We could technically counter-act it slightly by darkening the obsidian on the Crying Obsidian...
I actually didin't mean the tone or the lightning (I didn't even consider that factor), I should have provided a picture in full daylight like this.
I'm talking about the veins of the crying obsidian being cut quite that

Oh, makes sense. I'll bring it up with Sphax and see if he'll change it. He generally does animated blocks.

After playing around with the pack I noticed the fog color doesn't change with each biome, which is a bummer since that feature contributes a lot to the feeling of each biome.

Also I think it would be nice if the crying tiled better with normal obsidian as it does in vanilla.

I'm adding some pictures for each remark just in case.
To fix the non-changing nether fog color in Optifine, either:
1. Go to Video Settings > Quality > Custom Colors: OFF
2. Open the resourcepack folder/zip, go to assets\minecraft\optifine\color.properties and DELETE the line that says fog.nether=4d0b0b
The 2nd option is a better, more permanent solution, but I'm sure this will be overall fixed in a soon release.

Some small feedback, please add a Battleaxe variant of the Netherite Axe, I've been using that texture for Diamond and Gold for years now, and it's kinda weirding me out

Thanks for the information.

It just seems currently OptiFine doesn't support the new Nether biomes for fog, yet: https://github.com/sp614x/optifine/issues/4249

This is planned. Realized too late they hadn't been done.

Yes, both worked but I'll use the second, I can keep the fog color changes in the overworld that way
Thanks for the info!
