Hi,

As usual, comes the feedback thread for the latest update of PureBDcraft, named this time "Horses Update" (even if it has lot more things than just horses).

This update is special, a bit like the 1.5 version, because it drops compatibility with TexturePacks and supports ResourcePacks instead... The file system have changed again with lot of name changes and new organization. So some errors can have been introduced and I trust you to report them.

Some examples of the new things (details in Changelog of PureBDcraft):
  • New Diamond item. This will be tweaked in next update.
  • New Diamond sword. You wanted a Diamond sword which would looks like more "badass". I think, you have it.
  • All Horses supported + Mule and Donkey
  • Hayblock
  • Hardened Clay and Colored Hardened Clay (sounds like my old Mod for Baked Clay) :p
  • Custom rope thanks to MCPatcher feature
  • A lot more...
Lot more things are planned for future updates, like the connected textures for all colors of Hardened Clay and new sounds for Villagers (*Houdiniii*). Also, I would like to know if some of you are musician. If so, I would love to include your creations (PureBDcraft themed or Minecraft themed) for music discs. ;)

Do you have any feedback, comments, ideas, opinions about the last version of PureBDcraft?

Do you like the tweaks and additions?

Note By HanFox: The horse armour is NOT textured. Sphax knows. It's coming later. Please don't post about it!

The diamonds and the new diamond sword are really pretty!
And the stained clay is wonderful too.
I have not played with the resource pack yet, as I intended to when 256x is released, but everything in the files is gorgeous!
Wonderful effort!

P.S-I like the quiver!
I have too much spare time...

I love this update so much! I stayed up 'til 2am last night waiting for it, and it was definitely worth it. I especially love the hay blocks, white horses and the donkeys, and similarly to Zakol the quiver. My only criticism (and it's a really tiny one), is that the coal blocks are very dark. As in, it's very difficult to see the detail (if this is intended though, then well done :)). Again, absolutely love this resource pack. Great work, as usual!

Not to be rude but the new diamond sword is odd, I personally don't like it and I took the diamond sword texture from the 1.5.2 version and put it in the 1.6 version. Also trap doors are missing some details..

First of all, I'm a huge fan of your work and PureBDcraft is the only texture pack, now resource pack, I will ever use. I have been dying for you to come out with the update for 1.6. You definitely didn't disappoint either. I really like the new diamond item and was wondering if you would be doing something similar for the emerald item? I'd really like to see that! I've got so many of my friends now using your pack and they're all just as impressed as I am. Keep up the tremendous work and thank you Sphax!

I liked this update a lot.

Horses a are nice and so on. But there is one block texture that i - as a builder - HATE.
It's the hardened clay block texture.

When i first saw mojang release a screenshot of the block i was happy as can be. It was a smooth block in different colors like wool but a little more washed out such as stone would be.

It was the perfect block for building different colored walls and other decorations.

Though when i saw the texture for it in this texture pack i was incredibly dissapointed.

My main complaint is this: The texture has an outline wich - when building - makes it look incredibly akward and weird when put in rows because the texture doesn't flow from block to block
Please Sphax, FIX THIS! :C

This will be fixed via the CTM textures supported by MCPatcher and Iptifine ;)
