Hi,

As usual, comes the feedback thread for the latest update of PureBDcraft for Minecraft.
Version 1.8 is still unnamed... We can call it the "Map makers features Update" or maybe "Stones Update" or why not "We still work on API Update"... :)

This new version doesn't have a lot of new visible things for players. However it has cool new alpha features which will probably become awesome for the future of PureBDcraft.
As a player you'll be able to enjoy the new Stone blocks (Granite, Andesite and Diorite) and their smooth versions. You'll also be able to play in worlds as a spectator and look around through the eyes of any Mob (try that with a Creeper, a Spider and an Enderman)...
As a Map Maker, this update is and will be the most useful one. Cool new commands have been added, bugs fixed and some new ways to add unique behaviors in your maps (thanks to the command block and/or the new invisible block).
As a ResourcePack Maker, new possibilities will be added in Minecraft with cool features which seems to be half added in the latest snapshot (like custom blocks 3D Model, Shaders for Mob vision and Shaders in general...).

For PureBDcraft, this update is also the opportunity to add cool new MCPatcher/Optifine features!

Some examples of the new things (details in Changelog of PureBDcraft):
  • New Stone and Smooth Stone blocks
  • New Giant Red Mushroom Skin
  • New Slime block
  • New damaged Swords and Pickaxes
  • and more...
In the future (if Mojang implements the new features with documentation and tools), we can expect custom 3D Models for blocks, custom 3D Models for Mobs, Shaders for all Mob vision and Shaders applied for blocks and environment... Be sure that I'll do my best to make PureBDcraft even better. ;)

Remember the current released version is for snapshots. A Lot of other things could be changed and/or added before the final release of Minecraft 1.8.

Do you have any feedback, comments, ideas, opinions about the latest version of PureBDcraft?

Do you like the tweaks and additions?

GUI: Hidden useless words in inventory for better GUI look (Crafting, Inventory, Chest, Large Chest, Ender Chest)
That's just cheating xD You have to bare in mind that any one not using en_US will still see that text.

Also, it doesn't appear that you fixed some of the font characters from that bug report about the German double s:

Yep, I've done this after releasing this version. It will be in next version. ;)

I added a bit to what I said about the GUI text, but I'll reiterate:

If people don't use en_US they will still see it (I actually use en_GB) so it's far away from an actual fix especially when using mods or plugins.

I'll fix all wrong letters in the ascii.png.
This will be a real fix. ;)

Been looking forward to this update. This is my favorite Texture Pack.

Please consider adding the extra slot on the Enchantment Table for the Lapis which is now needed to enchant items.

Nice texture for the 3 new stone variations added in the new snapshots.

the stone variations (diorite, andesite, granite) are awesome! the slime block is also very cool but i would add a flowing animation to it (like netherrack possibly) and have the sides drip with slime. another thing you need to work on is the enchanting table inventory... it doesnt have a second slot for the lapis
