Feedback on PureBDcraft 1.8
I think they should name it the "Sphax PureBDCraft Update". :love:Sphax wrote:Hi,
As usual, comes the feedback thread for the latest update of PureBDcraft for Minecraft.
Version 1.8 is still unnamed... We can call it the "Map makers features Update" or maybe "Stones Update" or why not "We still work on API Update"...

Hey Sphax, you should texture planted wheat (In all growing stages), planted carrots (in all growing stages), planted potatoes (ALSO in all growing stages), and planted melon stalks and planted pumpkins stalks (AND OF COURSE, in all growing stages) 3D, and also make the all the rails 3D and the arch on the open side of the furnace.
I have to admit, this is a pretty cool texture pack. The question I really wanted to ask was do you use a texture pack editor? If so, which one? I'm creating my own (NOT USING ANY OF YOUR TEXTURES BY THE WAY). I just wanted to know which one. I figured that you are using one that's pretty sweet, since you can make such a good texture pack. If you could answer me then that would be great!

Not sure what a "texture pack maker" is, but Sphax makes all his textures in Adobe PhotoShop and he makes animations using his own Animaker program which you can find on this site.WaffleWaffleton wrote:I have to admit, this is a pretty cool texture pack. Hello There,
I'm new to this forum but not new to PUREBDCRAFT. I love your texture pack, and love how all the textures mesh together so nicely, especially many of the new blocks.
It is to this point that I do have a question though. In a previous iteration of PUREBDCRAFT (I'm sorry I don't recall the version number) blocks that had some kind of border around them (iron blocks, emerald, diamond, etc..) that breaks up the texture would "merge" when adjacent so the surrounded textures would extend. (eg: a 2x2 square of iron blocks would appear as a single 2x2x1 rectangular iron block with only the outermost edges appearing with the rivets rather than all the blocks surrounding with rivets) This created some really awesome design opportunities. But now the blocks don't do this "merging" any longer.
Is this due to one of the MC updates? Would it be possible to bring back in a future update?
I should note that I'm currently running OptiFine.
Cheers,
CdrWaffle
EDIT - - It appears that OptiFine has released an update that should allows the mesh to happen again, but I'll post back if it starts acting up for help.

I'm sure this has come up before, but could you at least release an addon that overwrites the purebd jawas with the vanillabd villagers? I love star wars, and I can see why it's funny, however, giving us that option to have regular villagers would be superb. I love your texture pack overall though. Best one out there by far. Thank you for taking the time to read this!
