Grass Texture

Hello everyone!
I recently installed the 1.8 version of Sphax and noticed that the grass texture has changed, and I was wondering if there is a version for the pack where the texture is the older one. Also if not if there is a way I can change the texture (a thorough step by step description please and thank if you could)
The reason being is I don't find the new texture really works well with the rest of the pack!

if you download the 1.6 texture pack and move all the grass textures in to the new 1.8 folder and replace it, it should work
