This is just an idea I thought of when looking at all the new 3D textures. If it is possible (I don't know much about all this new minecraft stuff) you could have like 3D stone bricks and cobblestone, or actual grooves in between planks. maybe small lumps on top of grass, just all to stop the general game looking so flat.
I think it would greatly improve bdcraft (if it can be improved :) ).

Note, I am not Sphax and do not speak for him.

The issue with this is that the 3D models can only be cube based, and BDcraft is themed around pentagons. Adding those kinds of details would look rather out of place.

Ummm... no? They can be different shapes! As I know even sphere is acceptable.

Then please, show me how to make a sphere in the required json format. I've been trying to work out curved rails for a while.

Echonite is right. 3D Models can only contain planes and cubes (and planes are just cubes without side faces)

Via a mod or using angled planes. Non cube shapes are not possible in vanilla Minecraft.

That was made without Mod or rotated planes but with an old version of Minecraft 1.8 snapshots (I think that was the first 1.8 snapshot introducing custom 3D Models).

In this very first 1.8 snapshot, it was possible to redefine the vertexes of the model of some block. That's why some created a OBJ converter for Minecraft blocks (it doesn't work anymore).

But with all the madness created by the community with that feature, Mojang decided to limit Block and Item Models to Cubes only. Cubes can be rotated by 22.5° step however :p
